Apifonda Patty 1 kg is a solid bee feed designed for supplementing winter food reserves, as well as for feeding mating nuclei and newly formed swarms. The product is designed for easy handling due to its creamy and uniformly kneaded texture.

Description

Apifonda is a bee feed patty with a creamy texture and homogeneous structure, obtained through a process of fine sugar grinding and kneading. The product is used for supplementing winter food supplies and can be administered when additional reserves or queen stimulation are required.

During winter, Apifonda can be administered in concentrated portions of 2.5 kg above the bee cluster when it has reached the upper part of the frames, in order to provide food reserves or stimulate queen laying. Administration is recommended when the temperature is between -4 and 4 degrees Celsius.

For administration, cut the film from one side of the block and carefully remove it to avoid product waste. If product remains on the film, it can be removed using a knife blade and repositioned into the main mass of the product.

After opening the hive, if bees are located above the frames, they should be gently moved using smoke. Only the upper part of the frames should be smoked, without introducing large amounts of smoke between frames. After identifying the area where the bee cluster is located, position the block with the side without film facing downward. Replace the cover board and winter insulation, then close the hive quickly to reduce heat loss.

In late spring and summer, Apifonda can be administered to mating nuclei or newly formed swarms to provide the necessary food supply. Due to its lack of odor and slower assimilation compared to syrup, this product does not generate robbing.
